Yep, Silver's here. I went back and forth on whether or not I wanted to have Silver in the story. But I realized that my version of Giovanni being a father was too fun of a possibility to pass up. The two of them have a very interesting relationship . . . Or at least to me. . . . Oh, and if you didn't know, Giovanni is Silver's dad in the Pokemon Adventures manga and possibly in the video games. My take on Silver will be very different than in the game though. He's closer to how he is in the manga, kinda like Sird. I guess I keep some characters mildly like their established personalities so I can go nuts with other characters like Giovanni or Dialga or heck, Mewtwo. Heh. If you haven't seen my explanation before, the reason I change their personalities and stuff is because I'm really bad at working with characters that I didn't make up. I work mainly with original characters/OC's in my work while avoiding story/canon characters whenever possible. But with Just Gotta, there are characters I just plain want to use, but not necessarily how they've been used before. I make them my own. It's a lot easier, and a lot more fun that way for me. Just maybe not for some readers out there . . . Sorry. Guess I could talk about the page . . . um . . . that full shot of Silver is good from the elbows up, I'd say. I totally messed up his lower half. Fixed what I could but . . . yeah. Overall I pretty much like the page though. Masteraki was fun on the page for some reason or another. Silver was more fun though. Heh. Mewtwo is still in this comic, right? Man he's being ignored more than I intended. I will mention now that I had said we'd see who Rebecca's Pokemon partner later this chapter. I think I'm going to push it back to the next chapter though to save space. Just warnin' 'ya. Long comment, yay! Edit: Oops, I didn't set what time this would go up. Ah well. I like it before the Just Gotta page and that's where it is . . . so . . . ah well. |

Silver....silver....nope, don't remmeber her. D: But, i think she's in heartgold and Soulsilver, yes? I think I may have seen a picture of her on serebii or something... o.0 hahah, I udnerstand, vye. ;D it IS more fun to do work with characters the way you want, even if they aren't how they are in other things. |

Silver is Giovanni's son in the video games, too. I don't think it was ever mentioned in Gold/Silver/Crystal (although it might explain his antagonism towards Team Rocket), but a random NPC in LeafGreen/FireRed said something about Giovanni's kid having red hair. @ Shard: Yeah, I thought that at first, too. @ the being: First off, Silver's a guy, despite the long hair. As to where he comes from, he was your rival in the Gold/Silver/Crystal versions (and will therefore show up again in HeartGold and SoulSilver). |

It's okay, though, because he has THE most diva appearance in the HGSS game opening. I think he's meant to look girly. :P |

BlackCatz: Glad I don't scare you away with all my character changes! And yay for the manga! I love Pokemon Adventures. Definitely one of my favorites. Shard: Yeah, I kinda thought so too but hoped it was just me. I'll have to try to make him more manly somehow. the being: Yeah, I'm glad spudwalt corrected you. I didn't want to give the impression he really was a girl! I don't like his character in the game 'cause he's pretty much just a jerk from what I remember, but he was cool in the manga. spudwalt: I assume that Silver is his son in the game, but it just never comes right out and says it is what I meant. Maybe it will in HG/SS. Beats me, haven't played it. (AMJAM!!!) Sol: Yeah, maybe a little. I think I made him moreso. He doesn't strike me as being very girlish in the manga but maybe I'm just immune . . . amjam: Ha ha, really? It'll be fun to see it then I guess. |

Yep. Silver was a jerk in the games. But, he got better near the end (after you owned him a few times, of course). |
